About Brain Health
Good brain health is a state in which every individual can realise their own abilities
and optimise their cognitive, emotional, psychological and behavioural functioning to
cope with life situations. It has long been suspected that the relative abundance of
specific nutrients can affect cognitive processes and emotions.
For example, a diet that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids is garnering appreciation for
supporting cognitive processes in humans and up-regulating synaptic function. Diet,
exercise and certain nutrients have a large role in brain function and avoiding risk of
cognitive decline.
